Knowledge Management and Project Documentation

PMDC documents and disseminates best practices in the fields of development, governance and gender. It aims to conduct innovative research in partnership with practitioners and implementing agencies of the state and civil society. Through participatory monitoring, evaluation and documentation techniques it aims to build a strong knowledge base and serve to provide policy input based on gaps identified, best practices documented and recommendations from the field.

Knowledge management can be done internally or taken as an activity at a point in time. It involves targeted research, policy analysis, and documentation of these findings into research reports and other organizational outputs, e.g., newsletters and videos (for internal and external sharing). The reports and outputs are then shared with the clients, partners, and wider public for information as a way of creating awareness, documenting success and raising questions that can be used to inform policy decisions.
