Organisation Development and Change Management
PMDC conducts a variety of Organisational Development (OD) and change management interventions through a highly participatory approach involving Board, Management, Staff, volunteers and external stakeholders of client organizations. Ideally the process will start with a facilitated organisational capacity self-assessment. These assessments provide a systematic way of identifying organisational strengths and gaps and the change requirements. A capacity development plan that is demand driven and prioritises institutional strengthening activities is developed for a specific period of time, usually 1 year. The process of capacity development will focus on the people, supporting them to have the right attitudes and implement relevant business and programme processes that bear positive results over time.
PMDC understands that change management is a political process and the need to understand underlying emotive and cultural currents that shape the landscape. PMDC tries to make the process participatory, clarifying expectations at every stage and fostering openness. Our OD professionals provide interventions through the approach depicted in the figure below which entail application of various methods and tools (including series of workshops, individual and group interviews, literature review and team meetings) that yield excellent results for clients.
